MultiSport Programmes


Enriching life through sport

MultiSport shall continue with our popular Gymnastics and MultiSport courses for a ten week programme commencing the week beginning 9th October. We are also pleased to announce the introduction of an international grade trampoline at the end of October, which is a great way to improve strength, stamina and coordination as well as being a lot of fun. Students shall also have the opportunity to progress through the British Gymnastic Trampoline award badge scheme. Students shall also be continuing through their gymnastics badge award scheme. 

Class numbers are strictly limited. Students MUST BE REGISTERED with MultiSport before attending lessons.

Fees MUST be paid at the first lesson

Introduction
MultiSport have been providing sports coaching services at leading International Schools and clubs for over 20 years. Classes are taught in English by Internationally qualified Physical Education coaches whose guiding principal is to develop as many positive attitudes towards sport and physical activity as possible and so instill a love of sport that lasts throughout life. 

Gymnastics

Gym for Tots (walking ~ 3 yrs) Friday 2:50 ~ 3:30pm
Gym for Tots is a Physical education programme specifically designed for infants from walking age to 3 years. The programme has been developed to include many creative and imaginative ways to encourage physical activity, exercise and movement in a stimulating, safe and sharing environment. The programme has its own Gym for Tots syllabus including music, song and rhyme book, colourful equipment and activity cards. Parents or guardians are to actively participate in the lessons and be responsible for the safety of their child.

MultiSport Gymnastics
Gymnastics is an excellent physical activity encouraging co-ordination, strength, agility and flexibility and is an invaluable start to any child's education. MultiSport Gymnastics is a Recreational programme for boys and girls from 3 year-old beginners to the advanced junior gymnast covering fundamental skills such as traveling, balance and jumping through to vaulting, floor and apparatus work.

MultiSport Gymnastics are endorsed to award The British Gymnastics Badge Schemes which provides the opportunity for gymnasts to achieve progressive awards. These award schemes are not only a great incentive and motivator for participants, but also provide a systematic approach to gymnastics. The following age groups give an indication of class description although streaming of classes in line with ability and awards shall take place particularly in the senior age groups.

Ages 3&4: Friday 3:45 ~ 4:25pm   
Through a series of fun and imaginative movements and balances, children will develop agility; flexibility; co-ordination and gain confidence and self-esteem. This course is an invaluable start to school and sport.

Ages 5&6: Friday 4:30 ~ 5:15pm  
Good body posture and flexibility are developed as children are introduced to floor work, beam, vaulting and balances.

Ages 7&8: Friday  5:20 ~ 6:05pm
A more disciplined approach to gymnastics is adopted. As more skills are acquired, the routines are further developed. The improvement in coordination and agility at this important developmental age has a tremendous carry over of skills to other sports.

Ages 9~12: Friday 5:20 ~ 6:20pm
More complex floor routines, vaults and balance are taught. Conditioning work is increased as students progress through their British Gymnastics awards.

Trampolining
(7-week programme commencing end of October)

Trampolining is an exciting and fun way to develop and improve strength, stamina and particularly coordination skills while promoting good posture, body awareness and self confidence.

MultiSport have been approved to award The British Gymnastics Trampoline Award Scheme that provides the opportunity for participants to achieve progressive awards. This ten level award scheme is not only a great incentive scheme but also provides a systematic approach to trampolining. The following age groups give an indication of class description although streaming of classes in line with ability and awards shall apply. Safety is a primary consideration and quality international trampoline and matting equipment shall be used. Socks and tracksuit bottoms/leggings should be worn with all jewellery removed. Maximum of 6 students per class.

Ages 4&5: Tuesday 3:45 ~ 4:30pm
Students will be introduced to trampolining through fun and age specific drills. Core strength will be developed through basic skills such as shape jumps, e.g. straight; star; tuck.

Ages 6&7: Tuesday 4:30 ~ 5:15pm
Students will further develop the basic skills and be introduced to more intricate movements. The difference between front and back drops will be taught, along with twists and turns. Rotation and accompanying skills will be introduced in order to allow progression to the next stage.

Ages 8&9: Tuesday 5:15 ~ 6:00pm
Students will continue with routine work encompassing rotation, twisting and turning.  More advanced skills and progressions such as Swivel Hips and Forward Turnover will start to be introduced in accordance with the appropriate trampoline award levels.

Ages 10~12: Tuesday 6:00 ~ 7:00pm
Having learned pre-requisite skills, students can further advance their trampolining proficiency and increase their skill repertoire in this class.  Set routines of 10 moves in sequence will provide a greater focus, whilst also working on front and back somersault progressions and variations, e.g. Arabian and Barani.

MultiSports

MultiSports signature programme combines a wide range of popular games and activities in an exciting environment aimed at introducing children to a variety of different sports, while at the same time receiving a thorough grounding in Physical Education essential for their future development. During the courses, pre school age classes will have an emphasis on the ABC's of sport - Agility, Balance and Co-ordination which form the foundation of children's motor skills. Older children will have an opportunity to participate in team and individual sports, enhancing key skills and teamwork with an emphasis on developing positive attitudes to physical activity in a fun yet challenging and rewarding environment. Dress: Weather and light permitting, classes shall be held outdoors. Please dress in appropriate sports wear.

Ages 3&4: Thursday: 3:45 ~ 4:30pm     
Children must develop their key motor skills before progressive learning can take place. This course is ideal for the development of gross motor skills with an emphasis on key stages one and two, combining striking, throwing and catching, kicking movement, spatial awareness and learning co-operation. These fun classes are an excellent preparatory course for sports and school.

Ages 5&6: Thursday: 4:35 ~ 5:20pm 
Children are introduced to a broader scope of skills through modified games encouraging footwork, fitness and learning ball skills. Sports such as basketball, soccer, and cricket as well as gymnastics and athletics are introduced in a fun and non-competitive environment.

Ages 7~10: Thursday: 5:25 ~ 6:25pm      
Children continue to develop their skills in a fun and rewarding environment with a greater emphasis on teamwork and the introduction of rules and tactics. Children will be rotated through different activities dependent on age and ability. The programme is active and a reasonable level of fitness is required.
